Ahead of the launch of The Fear , The Stash Gallery at Vout-O-Reenee's is showing a series of drawings and paintings that feature in the book itself, or explore similar themes of love, loss, and recovery, opening on Thursday 23rd February 2023 from 6:30pm.

In Someone Borrowed, Someone Blue, figures exist in a dreamlike world of closed interiors — from bars in Berlin to bedrooms in London or Paris, alone and together, or often in a state somewhere in between. Spens explores the ways in which our inner lives spill out into the exterior worlds we co-inhabit, and how lives interact and entangle therein.

Vout-O-Reenee's is a gallery and 'Surrealist members' club' in Aldgate, London, located at The Crypt (below the Church) of 30 Prescot St London E1 8BB.
